Finally, I got my MacPorts upgraded for High Sierra. One can’t imagine how difficult it is to install your favorite Linux/Unix tools without MacPorts (or some other similar software) that help us to manage all the downloading, dependency checks etc and etc.
The upgrade process is pretty straight forward.
- Download the latest MacPorts pkg file
- Make sure you have Xcode command line tool updated (you will know if you aren’t ;p)
- And update your port tree and all outdated packages as usual
